Families welcome students to Seders
April 14, 2008Gazette Staff Reports
The Jewish student organization at Western Michigan University, Hillel, is matching college students with families who have volunteered to host students at their Passover Seders.
Hillel is not hosting a community Seder this year because Passover falls the weekend before finals, according to Hillel chairperson Jay Pliskow.
College students who wish to sign up to be matched with families should send e-mails to kazoohillel@yahoo.com. Include contact information and indicate which nights you would like to attend a Seder.
The two local Jewish synagogues — the Congregation of Moses and Temple B’nai Israel — are not planning community Seders this year either.
